Banking and financial services group, ANZ Bank New Zealand Ltd were refurbishing 18 bank tenancies across the upper North Island.

iDemo was contracted by Alaska Construction & Interiors along with Unispace Interiors, to conduct full or partial strip outs of each ANZ branch between November 2019 and March 2021.

From as far north as Whangarei, through to Whangaparaoa & Albany and across to Onehunga, each branch was either exiting a current tenancy or refurbishing for tenancy renewal.

Despite the various locations and the tight turnaround times, iDemo mobilised and organised its crew to complete each branch efficiently and safely.

Throughout each of the 18 strip-out projects, zero health and safety incidents occurred during the 16-month long period.

The strip outs of the bank premises included the removal of:

• Ceilings, walls, floors and glazing
• Joinery, bathrooms and kitchens
• Office waste and strip-out waste removal

The Bank premises that were located within existing busy malls provided additional challenges. iDemo ensured they did whatever it took to meet the project deadlines while minimising disruptions, including working after hours and working in with mall security for secure access.
